Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Big Workout. Warmed up by taking Hillside and Summit down to the Smithfield Cemetery, then did 8x1000m on the cemetery loop at CV pace, with 60s recovery jog. It was cold, about 20 degrees out, but other than that a pretty nice day to run.

The workout went pretty well. My interval splits were 3:15, 3:12, 3:10, 3:10, 3:10, 3:08, 3:09, 3:07. About as good as I can hope expect for early February.

Cooled down for 6 miles. Averaged 6:24/mile for the entire 15 miles.

Took today off as a precaution to the pain in my shin (think it's an inflamed tendon or tendon sheath). I haven't missed any days lately due to sickness, so perhaps I'm due anyway.

Beautiful day though. i enjoyed my free time by sitting out on my deck in the sun.
