Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Good luck tomorrow, Paul!

Good luck and have fun!

Paul - Rob Murphy spilled the beans about you running 2:17:54. I'll have more comments when you post the reported, but I cannot wait to offer my whole hearted congratulations on qualifying for the trials for the third time. They have kept making it harder, you kept getting older, but you still made it the third time!

I need to move the blog server tonight from the "hospital" location on my desktop to its officially designated spot by the power backup unit tonight, but I'll do what I can to not disrupt your race report.

Sasha, I just posted a (long) full report and the blog kind of freaked on me and messed it all up. Can you recover it?

From Sasha Pachev on Sun, Jun 22, 2014 at 04:33:18 from 192.168.1.1

Paul:

Looks like the upgrade introduced a bug that affects long reports. Will debug it in detail tomorrow. For now leave it as is so as not to tamper with the evidence.

Was your report complete when you posted it? Is there anything that you wrote in your report that is currently not showing up?

From Paul on Sun, Jun 22, 2014 at 04:53:20 from 71.208.21.189

Yes, it was complete. Yes, at least half is missing.

From josse on Sun, Jun 22, 2014 at 06:11:43 from 71.199.39.138

I can't wait to read the real full report and not the repeat version

From Sasha Pachev on Sun, Jun 22, 2014 at 12:17:01 from 192.168.1.1

Paul:

Good news. I found a more complete version of your report in the depths of a digital sewer pipe - MySQL binary update log. There were several versions, the most complete ends in "5:33 pace for the last 1.2; it was all I had in me and it was barely enough." Do not know if it has everything, but I will be able to resurrect it. I still need to figure out why the server is currently in this state and fix it, will do that first, then will resurrect your report.

From Paul on Sun, Jun 22, 2014 at 12:22:29 from 67.6.182.177

That's great. I think that's 95% of the report; I had maybe a few bullets of misc thoughts, but I can always come up with new misc thoughts.

From Paul on Mon, Jun 23, 2014 at 13:27:33 from 207.224.39.118

Suspense is over, report is fixed.
