Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Did a trail run with Cody this morning. We left Logan at 5:30AM, and drove to the Bunchgrass trailhead, off of Hwy-89. We then ran the Bunchgrass/Whitepine Trail up to White Pine Lake, near Tony Grove. It was about a 15 mile round trip (not including the hike we took around the lake for fun), and about 2000' elevation climb, going from 6400' to 8400', and then back down. The trail was very runnable, minus a few steep segments we walked on. Cody dusted me going downhill, since I'm so slow on technical trail stuff. The whole run + hike took about 2 hours and 40 minutes. We were home by 9:30AM, which was the best part. It's always great to get up in the mountains and get a nice trail run in, and then still have the whole Saturday in front of me.

I've never done bunchgrass. We'll all have to do it another time.

Beauty of a run. Sounds like a great morning up there.

Paul- do you know when the Millsville 5K that you certified is going to be held? August? September?

Red - for one thing, I didn't certify it, I just mapped a route. Secondly, it's in Nibley, not Millville. Thirdly, I believe it will be in the September, the week before Top of Utah Marathon.

Millville vs Nibley, certify vs map, September vs August.... maybe I should start worrying about my inability to keep track of these details.... kind of scary... I need to take more fish oil I think!

OK, thanks for the info, I will add it to my race calendar, if I can remember....
