Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Big Workout. Ran out to the Smithfield Cemetery, and did 8x1000m with 60s recovery. It was snowing for most of the run, but not sticking. Splits were 3:14, 3:11, 3:09, 3:11, 3:08, 3:06, 3:06, 3:06. Solid workout; not amazing, but felt strong for the duration.

Cooled down up Smithfield Canyon. 16 miles total, averaged 6:30/mile.

The other notable was that my Saucony Kinvara turned over 1,000 miles today. I think I will try for another 1000, they are still in good shape.

So you did your workouts 1000s in honor of the Kinvara's hitting the mark? :) Nice job.

No, that is just coincidence. I did 1000s because 1000s are awesome.

Agree on the 1K reps. I like mile reps too, but I absolutely HATE running 1200s. I don't know why. Good workout though... got it in before the hurricane winds start up soon.

I don't think I've ever done 1200's. Miles are good, but my cemetery loop just happens to be almost exactly 1K, with a full assortment of hill types, and a nice asphalt surface. I will miss it...

I've heard the cloth upper on Kinvara's can wear out. You're not having that problem?

From Paul on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 22:42:07 from 24.10.141.104

There's a tiny little hole in the mesh above the ball of the foot. That's it. I think the mesh is actually pretty strong. Opposed to the Saucony Hattori, where I accidentally dragged my foot, and put a hole in the cloth upper from scrapping it ONE TIME.
