Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Been sick most of the week, but finally felt well enough to get outside a run a few miles. Ran home for lunch and back. 4.5 miles, no watch.

Finally got to run with someone today, a guy named Jordan who I met through the race I did the other week. Met Jordan at Hughes Stadium, and we ran along Horsetooth Reservoir, then up Bingham Hill, and back on Overland for a nice loop. Did some tempo miles, although we had both been sick during the week so we agreed not to push it. I had zero pop going up the hills, but downhills and flats felt okay. Just kind of cruised in the last few miles.

Averaged 6:15/mile for the 13.5 mile run. Splits were 7:21, 6:59, 5:37, 5:45, 5:42, 5:31, 5:35, 6:08, 6:07, 6:25, 6:26, 6:33, 6:43.
