Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

AM - ran the dog for a mile, then did the Planet Walk. There was fresh snow on the ground, but it was not snowing or raining during the run, so it was actually pretty nice.

PM - Planet Walk, then met up with Cody and ran through Willow Park and back to my house.

Met Jon at the Fairgrounds, and did the Young Ward - ICON Loop, including a 6-mile tempo. The faster miles were 6:10-6:15 pace. Sitting at work all day was killing my back and right SI joint, but running felt great. Too bad I can't run all day.

Did a little workout today; ran out to Millville and back and did 4x4-minute fartlek with 2 minutes recovery. It seemed like I timed it so that every interval ended on an uphill. Oh well.

Did some strides afterward. It was rather chilly, but all in all a pretty nice evening to run.

Longish run with Cody today. I had a meeting all morning, so we went in the early afternoon, and it was quite nice out We ran out to Hollow Road and back on the TOU course (mostly). I was feeling tired from the week, plus had a headwind going out, but for some reason was pushing 6:30 to 6:45 pace for the first few miles (probably from drinking coffee all morning). We hit a few 6:20-6:30 miles coming back with the wind, and stayed pretty steady to the end. I think our average pace was a little over 6:45/mile.
