Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Ran to Logan, had breakfast, had an eye appointment, ran back. I am now very close to 20-20 from LASIK. But I am not any smarter or more handsome. 14.25 miles, 6:58/mile average.

Do you like the LASIK? Feel like it was worth it? I have terrible eye sight but am afraid to do it!

From Paul on Wed, Aug 10, 2011 at 14:23:12 from 24.10.141.104

Yes, I'm pleased. My vision was about 20-400, plus an astigmatism. Now, it's not quite perfect, but close enough. It's nice to be able to get out of bed and SEE. Good for camping too (nothing worse than putting in contact on the trail or some grimy bathroom).

There's just one guy up here in Logan who does it, and I paid $3500. We shopped around a bit, and that was a better deal than elsewhere. I think the price is worth it if I can get 20-20 vision for at least 10-15 years (we all need reading glasses at some point...)

I have been considering LASIK for some time. I really do not like running in my glasses on those early mornings. I keep trying to find enough people to praise it so I can muster up the gumption to get it done. Thanks for feedback. Oh and nice running as always Paul.

You were already smart and handsome enough. Can't be too perfect or you'll just float away!
