Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Power Trail, south. 6 miles, no watch. Did some strides in the middle.

Well, that's just about it for the taper. Tomorrow is my travel day, and I plan to take it off, other than some walking or maybe some light jogging to work out the flight. Friday is an easy 3-4 miles, probably on the course. Saturday is the race. I couldn't have asked for better weather this winter to train in. I have been able to wear shorts more often than not. Other than losing a few days to moving and to having a slight headcold, it's been a great December. And I am of the opinion that runners are too anal, and missing a day here or there really makes no difference. ;-) So I'm ready to go.

I'm marathoning with the masses on Sunday in Houston, but will be there watching on Saturday. Let me know if you want me to trip/injure some of your competitors as they run by. Anything I can do to help...
